You may want to check that as my understanding under UK law is taht it automatically goes to the surviving spouse and is not considered part of the estate.

I started one at night school 25 years ago. Had only fone the first term when I had to move away for a new job. Gutted that I had to stop the course but learnt a lot even in that short time.
