Despite knowing that by voting above the line, I had no control regarding the preference allocations, the fact is we have 2 kids under 5 years of age and simply did not have the time to spend 30+...

Geez, I live 10k NE of Melbourne CBD and that seems like an utter rubbish statistic. Sydney gets more rain than we do.

Normal boom/bust cycles are 7-10 years.
We are so far outside the typical predictive pattern after 21 years of uninterrupted...

Well, I was just popping in to see how the prediction from 12 months ago was holding up. Unless there is any change in the Aus economy, I would see no reason for the GBP/AUD rate to ever break above...

Looks like that is exactly what has happened in the last 12 months.
1.6 (last Nov), down to 1.47 (last Feb), up to 1.6 (in May), ...
