If there are stupid questions regarding all of this - then believe me, I have asked them 5 times over!!

Sadly - no litter trays allowed. For our dog and cat, we had a piece of memory foam, which I...

Re: Bringing pets back to the UK (from "approved" countries)

We had to call the Ground Agent for Air Transat (James Cargo Ltd) once we had landed. They then pick them up from the plane and bring them to the Animal Reception Centre (a few miles from the...

Re: Bringing pets back to the UK (from "approved" countries)

Aw - thanks! I was wondering if I had inadvertently offended someone!

I don't believe you're allowed to put a tracking device inside the crate - but that's definitely something you should check...

Re: Moving from Toronto to UK. Any recommendations for pet transport companies?

From what I have learned (having just brought back a dog and cat from Canada to the UK), most north american microchips are able to be scanned by a UK reader. When blogs / websites talk about them...

Re: Financial Consultant Recommendations?

My issue is that the blend of a non-distinct "British" accent with a west coast Canadian accent has resulted in me sounding Australian to a lot of people (from various countries). I've even had...

Re: Financial Consultant Recommendations?

This is super helpful - thank you!! Given that I won't have Capital Gains to worry about (since I'm not selling my business, just closing it), I can finalize my personal Canadian taxes before I...

Re: Financial Consultant Recommendations?

Thanks for your response. I don't plan to sell my consultancy...I'm going to close it (since it's just me - I have no employees). So I think the CGT wouldn't be an issue right?

Re: Financial Consultant Recommendations?

Re: Financial Consultant Recommendations?

Yes - that was my question too. My plan was to sell the business and settle any Canadian taxes owed (corp and personal) before leaving, purely to avoid having to faff around with Inland Revenue for...
