And there's a lot of places downtown that are less than 5 stories. Not office blocks but a lot of buildings.

Correct. I am used to 40 odd stories in London and like that Ottawa is closer to 20 rather than skyscrapers.

Sure some things are more expensive but a lot, for us, is cheaper. In no particular order but what we benefit from being here

1. Big house
2. Cheaper car
3. Cheap gas
4. Shorter working hours...

Pet policy is hotel dependant, check directly with them.

We moved and got settled in perm accommodation and a few weeks later flew back and got ours and had them in the cabin with us.

No. It helps, but isn't required.

Ottawa is nice. Low rise buildings downtown, housing is pretty cheap, has a middle class family feel. No big commutes, snow is ploughed as it's a government town....

My wife was in the same spot. Part qualified CIMA. As you may know the syllabus structure is changing next year and she will continue with her studies and sit exams here. There's a CIMA Canada...

I'm having bad reactions to mosquito bites and being bitten far too often. 10 minutes yielded 7 bites one evening!!! If I wear long sleeves, my hands and face get bitten.
