Thank you, I will certainly do that. I fear we probably will have to accept the outcome whatever it may be. My son and daughter are US green card holders and will apply for their citizenship...

Yes we will have an active address in the U.S. and can return for periods up until the interview. Since we are no where even close to the 30 months out of 60 months absent (less than 5 months total...

Unfortunately postponing is really not an option due to my wife's mother's health and the need to take care of her. We can for sure come back for the interview and oath ceremony....

Irvine is southern CA - I really like that area - better than San Ramon! But Southern CA has horrendous traffic - Bay area too, but So Cal is in another league. It is close to some very wealthy...

Think long and hard about coming here for 2-3 years. We did that - 12 years ago! You will have no credit history here so renting and buying can be tough without it. I advise keeping a bank account...

I checked on an individual plan at the time and it was comparable in cost but had higher co pays and some tests such as cat scans etc were also higher co pay.

This is for me and my wife and two kids. Also it is dependent on age, I am 50 this year so I think that makes it rise a bit too!
