There is a 30 days visa-free period whether you enter by air or by land but you will be fined if you overstay. I think it is 500 baht for each day

We also used Globelink travel insurance.
We had to claim for a cancelled flight. They dealt with the claim very quickly and paid out without any problems.

I use travel insurance for my parents. Company provides cover for people aged up to 84 and against other insurance this is one of the best value for money.

I've used travel insurance for my parents, they are 72 and 70 years.
Globelink provides cover for people aged to 84 years and cover for many pre-existing medical conditions....
