And there's always a problem isn't there? I like to show up 20 minutes before departure and just walk on the plane so I have a big problem with over booking, and Southwest seems to really over book...

I do that all the time, I even whip out the laptop at baggage claim and check rates. If they have cars available at the last minute they'll give them away. And like you I always make a reservation...
