Re: A General Moan - Things that irk you about Spain!

Looking at developed countries Europe still has quite a few places where entrepreneurship can flourish. I know people who have started businesses even in high tax places like Sweden and have found...

Re: Modelo 720 self completion?

How much is it currently costing you to have your accountant do everything? Are we talking more like €100-200 or several hundred Euros?

Re: A General Moan - Things that irk you about Spain!

Poverty is a problem that needs to be tackled head-on, also in Spain, but let's not forget we have a huge problem back home. What's the child poverty rate in the UK? 31%? Rising to 49% in...

Re: A General Moan - Things that irk you about Spain!

Perhaps this is just a local issue and not a national one? Especially since the scenario you mentioned involves sitting in a bar... outside. :)

Not a single international bank is present here...

Re: Prescriptions in Spain

Thanks, this is what I have been looking for. You simply type in the active ingredient and out comes a whole list of all approved/available products ("generics") that fill the bill. :)

Re: Buying versus importing a car from the UK

Not sure I'd let just a "local mechanic" (in *ANY* country) touch a Lexus. :)

I agree with others though, sell there and buy here to save yourself a lot of hassle.

On a side note, isn't there...

Re: Modelo 720 self completion?

Interesting quote from the website above: "Note you only have to report the Groups in which your assets exceed the reporting limit. With regard to property the value is the purchase of the property,...

Re: Looking for a recommendation on mobile network provider in Spain, prices/opt

Wow, just launched the Digi app to check my data usage so far and it seems my current tariff has been upgraded from 10GB to a whopping 20GB/mth. And all this still for the same price of €10.

Re: Modelo 720 Under Attack from EU Justice

Really? Giving back money like this would be quite strange in any country.

Re: Prescriptions in Spain

Is there a website that allows you to check which generics are available in Spain, and possibly check their prices?

Re: BRITS LEAVING SPAIN

I never mentioned the UK's likelihood of rejoining the EU but pointed at the future option of joining the EEA.

Biden, despite his age, is still light years ahead of Trump, who was a Russian puppet...

Re: BRITS LEAVING SPAIN

That's cause they're old and stuck in the UK for the rest of their lease-time on this planet. They could just as well have voted for shutting down Heathrow, the channel tunnel, or upping the price of...

Re: Travelling in Schengen DOUBTS

The entire Schengen system must store a whole lot more than than because when people are banned from one Schengen country then are banned from entering the entire area, and I don't think the system...

Re: NIE number online

Why was there a need for a notary if you went and applied for (and later picked up) the certificates yourselves?

Especially since the only thing you need to do is fill out the 790 (then pay the...

Re: Travelling in Schengen DOUBTS

Technically they could just check your mobile and where it was logged in throughout the year but this is probably reserved for serious inquiries beyond the scope of simple residency issues.

Only...

Re: Looking for a recommendation on mobile network provider in Spain, prices/opt

€40 per month just for your mobile, so €480 every year just for one number? Ouch. Someone mentioned that Vodafone isn't doing so well here financially but with these prices I'm finding that hard to...

Re: Looking for a recommendation on mobile network provider in Spain, prices/opt

Digi all the way. Calls to almost 60 countries around the world included, lots of GB, etc. Support is great and you can quickly have a chat with them via the app. Even the *100# menu can be set to...

Re: Looking for a recommendation on mobile network provider in Spain, prices/opt

Re: BRITS LEAVING SPAIN

This has all been one, huge, terrible mess. A large chunk of the nation coaxed into believing that shooting oneself in the foot is actually a beneficial thing.

Apart from the number of people...

Re: Looking for a recommendation on mobile network provider in Spain, prices/opt
