Re: WAIN

Come to Canty, glorious summer, loads of late 20s, some early 30s since back in Nov - occasional heavy rain but doesn't last for long - weather here awesome!

Re: Why did you move?

Me neither - and who would want to, the garden would be a jungle by the time they got back. I hate leaving the house for a weekend as there is so much more to do in the garden! People forget how...

Re: Start of the process

I appreciate the extra sunshine too, but the best thing in Canty is it hardly ever rains compared to the UK (and other parts of NZ)

Re: BBQ's and Outdoor cooking

This is what we get every summer in the Waimakariri:

Re: NZ - home of DIY

The only people that pay tradesmen to do work are those that can't do it themselves. To be fair in Canterbury it is nigh on impossible to get a tradesman to do anything, they are far too busy...

Re: How much to live on for family in Christchurch

Re: Hi Everyone

Hang in there buddy, almost all of the kiwis I work with are awesome and laid back, some too laid back - but that is another thread. Maybe you need to get out of Auckland and come down south. Good...

Re: Hi Everyone

What industry are you in? You've only been here a few months of a crappy winter. Where are you in NZ? There are good rentals out there. Don't be too hasty to condemn the whole country based on...

Re: B & I Lions

Disappointing result for me, but a fair summation of the series? Yes I think so. The inexperience in our backs was the difference, they were good enough, but too young to take the pressure, too...

Re: How much to live on for family in Christchurch

There will be hundreds of Brits in Rolleston, as there are throughout Chch and North Canty.
The only thing I would say to detract from Rolleston is that there isn't much there in comparison to say...

Re: B & I Lions

Well done Lions, I don't think you deserved the win, but it's immaterial, it was achieved. Expect to be overwhelmed and annihilated next week.

Re: B & I Lions

Well the Canes came bloody close last night - a fantastic match, well done to them! Lions a bit of a shambles regarding the use of the bench, shame for the guys.

Re: B & I Lions

This thread has gone a bit quiet! Fantastic match last night, a bit tense in the first half when the Lions played some lovely rugby, if they could have managed it for longer, they may have won....

Re: Wellbeing of NZ's children places us 34th out of 41

geoff52 is a bitter and twisted troll that didn't have the points for NZ and had to go to Canada instead! Mods have asked him to stop trolling, but he hasn't stopped, I told him to p**s off back to...
