Re: Stung By Salik

I too was stung by Salik to the tune of 4k AED. I was running around so much in the first several weeks of my stay in Dubai sorting out logistics the salik toll system completely passed me by. When I...

Re: So what do miss from the UK?

I miss playing football all today on a Sunday with my friends and then coming home wet and covered from head to toe in mud and lying down on the couch in time to catch Friends reruns on TV :(

Re: 2001 Range Rover what do you think?

Re: 2001 Range Rover what do you think?

No to be honest I am not - every time I turn the engine I wonder if the engine will start! But I have done my research and know what I have got myself into.

You should see the inside it is sooo...

Re: 2001 Range Rover what do you think?

Yes but the 2008 prado is much more money.

I can't believe that the car was in the garage 80% of the time, how long did he have it for?

The air suspension is a well known problem with the...

Re: So, Mirdiff.....

5K is a lot of money for a room though and I don't need to be so close to the office. I am commuting to the airport most of the time for business and don't mind half an hour odd in traffic for the...

Re: So, Mirdiff.....

Hey people I think I am being shafted a bit on my rent (paying 5500AED for a room in a villa in Al Barsha 3 though it is convenient for work in DIC).

Am considering moving to Mirdiff as it is...

Re: 2001 Range Rover what do you think?

I can say for fairly certain that it was owned by a Sheikh. Before buying the car I was adament on seeing some service history so we took the car to the main dealer from where it was bought, flashed...

Re: 2001 Range Rover what do you think?

I am sure you will fall in love with it too if you see it with your own eyes. I have seen surveys which say that Range Rovers are seen as the most unreliable luxury 4x4s by owners but the same owners...

Re: 2001 Range Rover what do you think?

Re: 2001 Range Rover what do you think?

I'm on a tight budget, beggars can't be choosers. Let me know when you are having your next outing and you can all tell me what a mistake I made in person. :)

Re: 2001 Range Rover what do you think?

After 2000, 4x4 ideally, reliable, drives well, reasonably desirable for easier sale, wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen driving it.
