Re: Need an electrician / sparky

Hmm... maintenance from Nakheel? That would mean paying the over the top 8000Dhs/Year service charge! I want to find a little man to pay a couple of hundred Dirhams to get it fixed

Re: Need an electrician / sparky

Sorry, maybe should have narrowed down where I am. I'm in International City Dubai, so if anyone knows of one who services this area that'll be grand.

Need an electrician / sparky

Anyone know of a reasonable electrician firm to sort out my wiring? I've narrowed the problem down to the kitchen, but can't seem to fix it myself. Anyone good any recommendations?

Thanks

Re: Dubai international City

International City isn't as bad as some make out - generally the people who say it's bad have never been there. I've been here for over six months and it provides what I need in Dubai.

For one,...

At the traffic office in Dubai (near MoE) the typing office is two doors down from the main licence office so you can get everything done in one place.

You cannot hire a car in Dubai without the international licence. I tried and failed at all the hire desks at the airport with only my UK licence.

Also, make sure you have both the paper and...

Re: International City

I'd hopefully be working near the Aviation Club part of town - obviously I'd have a car and not rely on taxis. I've heard the traffic isn't too bad.

As...
