Re lights in Hungary:
The law says that you need some kind of light - outside villages/cities but there is a large number of people who ignore this rule, even with new cars where it should be...

You might even change this by having your car "reprogrammed", but I'm not sure.Cars are sold to areas with different rules here.

I drove Astra/Kadetts as they were first called over many years and around 12 years ago "downgraded" to a Meriva A. It is a bit smaller but higher which makes it really easier to get in or get up....

Fentiger, don't forget a pantry - on the coolest side of the house, good for keeping vegetables, fruit and of course cans and bottles of all types of food.

Around 20 years ago we had a similar problem with the roof and also were told that it would be best to exchange beams and tiles together - part of the beams were still round not square, really old....

The problem might be that many have no licence for this and pay no tax (50 liters were/are free) and they don't want the authorities to know.

Yes, Hungarian cheese is a problem. My wife told me that in Kádár times they only had one type of cheap cheese:

Lidl hasn't had a British week for several months now (Brexit?) but I just saw that from Monday they'll offer two cheeses very cheap:
Red Leicester and Double Gloucester each at 499 Forint per 250...

We had this problem too - several reasons.
One was that granddaughter used too much paper and not enough water ...
