We did Northern California to UK but it was a while back 2013. We used a company called Rainier or something similar and the delivery in UK was by Euro UK
We pretty much got rid of everything....

We did the free 12 month mail forwarding I walked into the local post office and set it up about 2 weeks before we moved back to UK. It worked great. I had been changing address on all sorts for ages...

We pay our UK dentist at each visit full amount billed.
I had the same in the US, although my insurance paid part, I paid the balance on the day of the visit in full.

We used a local (in the US) tax accountant for years then I talked with her about us moving back and she did our taxes for a year after we moved, as we had been residents in the US for part of that...

LOL Yes I figured out the language.
Just accepted a new job today, so it's 5 mins further away but the pay is better, so can't be bad. Working my notice when I get back of my annual leave this week....

We used Rainier international shipping they have a branch in Fremont.
We had great service from them. Not enough for a container, we had one of those wooden crates I forget what they call them.
