Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

That's fine, but that's not what I was asking. I have not been in the UK for more than 2 years ( and can prove that ), and have never been in South Africa.

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

Just wondering, has anybody taken the "48-Hour-Quarantine-Alberta-Path" recently? Or can somebody help me with my questions?

As far as I researched, this is still an option for returning...

Re: Trump Trump Trump

it's not a surprise.

He is completely alone, no friends ( if he ever had any )

First he names the "America First Doctrine", then he offends everyone else during the first election campaign,...

Re: Corona / Vax UK

I would largely believe that the UK would be more capable of vaccinating more people in a shorter time than Canada. It's not the geographic size or the bigger population, but the fact that the NHS is...

Re: Coronavirus

It's precisely this idiocy with bothers me with Covid 19 laws.

Masks, no gatherings, not meeting others, working from home, that's all understandable. However the virus doesn't stop or begin just...

Re: Crystal Ski offering pleasure trips to Canada during Covid19?

I figured something like that. It's like one of these airlines selling tickets for flights which never take off.

Re: Trump Trump Trump

I am surprised that this thread received so many posts.

The important thing is, that this idiot is gone, and most likely gone forever.

In the end, what do we rather want, one and a half year of...

Crystal Ski offering pleasure trips to Canada during Covid19?

I am a little surprised that Crystal Ski are offering pleasure trips for skiing to Canada.

Apart from the irresponsible action, but is this really taking place? Am I missing something? I...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

I'd say, the "Alberta Strategy" as you call it, is the only real secure way. The advantage is that it's not only shorter, but there are now two tests required, one before travel, one upon arrival,...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

As said, I am currently not in the UK and have been absent from the UK for more than a year and have never been to South Africa, thus this current changes don't apply to me.

Travelling to Canada...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

I am currently not in the UK, thus this doesn't apply to me. I also understand that all UK - Canada flights have been suspended?

However there is to my knowledge no medical indication that the new...

Re: Sex for rent issues in Dublin

From a legal perspective, it can only concern any form of unofficial letting. Nothing written in contract and no security at all. If the female disagrees in sleeping with the landlord once in a...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

The question regarding the direct flight and no stopover at another Canadian airport also begs the question whether one can book any flight from Europe with a stopover in the US and a final...

Re: Coronavirus

As said, only 0.5% of Covid 19 infections are travel related. It's nothing more than that. However travellers have to bear the brunt of all the community based Covid 19 infections.

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

Air Canada always allowed a stop over option for international flights on one booking code, pre-Covid 19 that was, as far as I remember. They could easily extend this for 14 days for flights arriving...

Re: Quarantine for COVID 19 discussions.

It's a maybe. The current quarantine regulation could easily go on until September 2021 by the attitude they have, regardless if you managed to get the vaccine in Europe or not.....

I am only...

Re: Coronavirus

i am guessing that the vaccine won't solve things immediately. Strictly mathematically speaking the whole of the UK could be vaccinated by May, if supply and logistics and also manpower is there. I...

Re: Coronavirus

I would sadly have to guess that any European country will do a better job than Canada on this, the UK and Germany most likely the best countries dealing with the vaccination programme. This in mind...

Re: Coronavirus

If there is the requirement to transport and store the vaccine at minus 70 degrees Celsius, one can easily guess that there is considerable cost attached to this activity, and vaccinating as many as...

I also think it should be agreed upon that in order to make the vaccination more popular incentives should be offered. The problem will also be, if there are no incentives nobody would take the...

I am aware of the "Calgary Option", but there is the requirement to stay 14 days in the province.

However I am sad that this option isn't offered in Toronto, even though the university of Toronto...

You are correct that logic is not present at all with the Canadian government, also there is no "scientific based approach" even though they keep repeating it. Ultimately politics takes decisions not...
