Re: Tories in chaos

No-one is 'pissed about equality' - they are pissed about unfairness. It was right that the retirement pension ages for men and women were equalised but the way in which it was done was...

Re: Prime Minister Jeremy Corbyn

Well I was 14 in 1970 and 24 in 1980 so I transformed from school to work in that period.

It was a dreadful decade and it was due to overbearing, power-crazed. bullying unions.

It wasn't one...

Re: Tories in chaos

No - you're absolutely right and many of us think the same.

I had a long and very civilised discussion (a rare event) in the pub last night with a highly articulate and intelligent leaver. He...

Re: Tories in chaos

Can't speak for Thairetired but I don't think they meant that the people who voted thus were right to do so - merely that that's what they did.

Re: Xmas Gift for Spouse & Son - UK Sporting event

They've just opened up the whole of Ashton Gate for the Wasps match on 27th. Usually some parts of the stadium are closed. Must be expecting a humdinger. Don't miss out.

Re: Prime Minister Jeremy Corbyn

I can think of other words apart from naive.

This is the crux of the matter. They (leavers) didn't think it through at all. In spite of us (remainers) telling them that Leave was undefined -...

Re: Prime Minister Jeremy Corbyn

The result of the 2016 referendum is held by many remainers to be unsatisfactory - indeed unacceptable for many well known reasons.

Question to the remainers on here: if a second referendum were...

Re: Prime Minister Jeremy Corbyn

How do you reckon that Shard? With a hung parliament maybe?

If the Tories get a majority (likely I think) the disaster is a cert.

Re: Prime Minister Jeremy Corbyn

That would be good but I think the most likely outcomes are Tory majority and hung parliament in that order.

Re: Prime Minister Jeremy Corbyn

I wish you could find that vote because I don't remember it. Was it before or after the referendum? Do you mean they voted to implement Article 50?

Anyway parliament hasn't implemented the result...

Secondly she didn't mention what you...
