Re: WAPOL 2015 Waiting Room

They are short of boots on the ground and while at the academy every one banged on about what a success, and life saver for WAPol, Trannies are. I'd be very surprised if they don't do any more...

Re: WAPOL

Don't worry about age. I went through the process at 45. Not a problem There are no beastings for Trannies; unlike the 'poor' Recruit intakes. If you're fit enough to pass the PPE you'll survive the...

Re: Life with WAPOL anyone?

I'd be very surprised if there isn't any further UK recruitment. Everyone, at the academy at least, goes on about how well it's working. They need the steady experience of the Transitionals to...

Re: WAPOL 2014 Results

Hi and welcome.
Unfortunately this years international recruitment campaign by WAPol is now closed. Although they had run international recruitment for the past few years, there's no guarantee there...

Re: Need clarification please.

The whole of the international recruitment is done here in the UK. Outside of that, if you are eligible to apply you have to travel to Perth at your own expense for the testing.

I feel for you...

Re: WAPOL recruiting Internationally again!

Hi.
No not quite. Finish work on the 18th and fly out on 7th August. Busy socialising and catching up with friends and rellies before I go. Haven't drunk so much since my Rugby tour hay days!...

Re: WAPOL recruiting Internationally again!

Hi.
The first step would be to assess how you are going to be eligible to work in Oz by looking at what your visa options are. Have a good root around on the forum. There's plenty of advice to be...

Re: Police officer transfer from uk to Canada

Hi and welcome.

You may get more replies if you start a new thread; 'Canada. Ride along experiences.' for example. That way more people will see what you're asking after rather than it being...

No. Fly out on the 7th. Seven shifts to go and no nights. All inter-dispersed with lots of socialising before I go!

Re: WAPOL 2014 Results

So I take it that you've all been asked to do psyc tests before the interview? How's that been done, through an internet link to the tests?

Re: WAPOL 2014 Results

Answer honestly. It's the best policy. That's why you will always have more than one psyc test to do. They cross reference the answers.
I found the best way was to answer instinctively, without...

Re: Perth house rental

I'll be at the academy in August. Like SOS says, I'm using AirBnB. There are plenty of nice properties with a range of prices depending on what you want; room only, B and B or apartments. All within...

Post interview paperwork.

Now. I know this seems a bit of jumping the gun to some. However, there's a lot of waiting to be done during the application process and you can alleviate this to some degree by having already...

WAPol August 2014 intake.

Just wondered if there's anyone else out there who like me is due to start on the 25th August?
If so it would be good to touch base before we start so we know a friendly face on the first day.
Feel...

Re: It's been a long time in the making, finally coming to Oz

Sounds a bit like our tale. We had to put our plans to move on hold for 10 years. Now we're in the process of moving out.
Good luck. Keep us updated on how it all goes.

Re: Costs and concerns - WApol police from uk

Hi
To be honest I think you'd be better of just contacting the relevant companies and asking for quotes. Everyone's circumstances are different and therefore the costs and expenses will be too.

However, there is a...

I think some people used this company to prepare for the PEE. I didn't so I can't endorse them.

Re: WAPol 2014 PEE preparation

Not being deliberately obtuse. All, some or none may be multiple choice. Usually some are, but the format changes each time.
Keep an open mind as to what to expect.

Re: WAPol 2014 PPE physical preparation.

Easier for everyone. UK police on the whole aren't known for their great levels of job related fitness. Not helped by no encouragement from those upstairs:cool:
