Was the something you ordered valuable, can you give me an idea of worth? I've used aramex over 100 times and have never had to pay any duty.

Ikea sell crappy plastic, spring based trees - I'd give them a miss.

You can set up an aramex shop and ship account, then buy online in the US - they will forward them to you here. Shoe trees...

But the soil outside the embassies, where pi**ed up expats vomit, pi** and fight are 100% Saudi owned. I'm sure if they wanted to, they could influence embassies to do something like this.

I have access to several perfumes for my wife for VERY good prices (15% of Saudi cost). Trouble is, they are at my sisters in the USA.

I've read there may be issues shipping perfumes etc into...

My new suit pants have mysteriously developed 2 small holes (1-2mm) after return from the dry cleaners :frown:. They are near the pocket and noticeable.

Hey all, on 5th Sep I'm heading to abu dhabi to meet my family and "escort" them back to Riyadh.

I arrive 6am in the morning - family arrives midnight that day.

I'd probably get the test repeated. A positive test means she has been exposed to the TB bacteria, which could become active at a later date (approx 15% chance). Not sure how the KSA authorities...

...and here's an update:

Date of violation: 16th July 2010

I was on Bondi beach at this time.

Methinks I may have been a bit hasty in paying the fine...me also thinks my chances of a refund...

Well I just got a nice surprise when I checked my traffic violations - 900 SAR fine :frown:

No information about when it was, what it was for.

Any other country I would challenge this - but...

Not sure it's "legal" to do this, the probationary period is for both parties. Does it state in your contract that the visa would have to be repaid if you leave in your probationary period?
