Re: A question for those in NZ who've had PR granted in recent times

PS. We're not telling anybody this but it's driving me crazy keeping it to myself, I'm so bad at keeping secrets, this may be a safe place to blab! We got some exciting womb news last week, all being...

Re: A question for those in NZ who've had PR granted in recent times

Re: A question for those in NZ who've had PR granted in recent times

Re: A question for those in NZ who've had PR granted in recent times

Absolutely f***ing gutted.

Just as an aside - Anglo Pacific destroyed and lost so much of our stuff. I hate them, they are the worst company I have ever dealt with.

So, we've just realised (I'm...

Re: A question for those in NZ who've had PR granted in recent times

Ooh good to know, thanks! My OH has just come home equipped with a graph (can you tell he's an accountant...) and reckons if we move some things around and tighten our belts for a few months (and...

Re: A question for those in NZ who've had PR granted in recent times

Yes I think the worst case scenario was 160 or something like that if I remember rightly, so fingers crossed that should be fine :fingerscrossed:

Re: A question for those in NZ who've had PR granted in recent times

Thanks both of you. Okay that's good to know, thank you. We've got no plans to leave the country any time soon and if we did it would only be for a short visit so the travel restrictions aren't a...

Re: A question for those in NZ who've had PR granted in recent times

Thanks for the reply! :-)

My partner earns over $90k so luckily we will be eligible for full PR if we do go for it now, all being well. Would the stipulations in your first paragraph only apply...

A question for those in NZ who've had PR granted in recent times

Hi there

We moved to NZ last year, haven't been on the forums in a while. We are loving life here, everything we'd hoped for and more.

My partner is currently on a WTR visa and me and the kids...

Re: We're here! A question about fences...

j19fmm that's what I had in mind. How would I find a farmer to come do that for me? I think my ideas of finding perfectly shaped driftwood, hammering it lightly into the soil and stapling wire to it...

We're here! A question about fences...

We got here last Tuesday after surviving a sleepless 11 hour flight, a sleepless 8 hour layover and a turbulent but sleepy 13 hour flight with three under 5s. I'm still waiting for my medal...

Re: Driving licence and cars - what to do?

Thanks all for your advice!

We contacted the DVLA on the phone and got a definitive answer once and for all. No, you don't inform them you're going overseas. However when you apply for the NZ...

Re: Partnership criteria - long distance relationship?

It's not a problem! :)

Yes if you went the WTR route I think you would either need to leave a month or so between you going and him going so that you'd be able to apply for a the residency before...

Re: Spring is here!

It sounds tantalising! The temperature has dropped here in the UK and I'm beginning to get those 'Christmassy tingles' and actually caught myself feeling sad that we'll have moved to NZ by Christmas...

We're moving there next month. Any pointers anyone can give us on the areas would be appreciated! We're torn between Maunu/Kamo/Maungatapere or going a bit further out to somewhere more rural and/or...

Re: Partnership criteria - long distance relationship?

Can you go down the Work to Residence visa route? This will mean getting a job offer in advance but it's not insurmountable, especially if you're working in healthcare. The District Health Boards are...
