Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE

WAs stopped with a suitcase of books one time. I was under the impression they were concerned I was bringing in a load of bibles.

They looked through a few of them but seeing how the guy didn't...

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE

Mentally off, don't get too excited.

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE

Everything you need for making booze is available at the local supermarket.

If you want to bring in your own still I'd be more wary.

Been searched numerous times on arrival at various...

Re: Cost of living in Riyadh-KSA

It's easily doable, but I would say you'd have to be living off compound to make that work. Nothing wrong with that. Get an apartment for 2-3k, add your car for 2k, 5k for living, and another 2k for...

Re: Cost of living in Riyadh-KSA

You're looking great.

Minus 10k for compound apartment say.
2k for car costs4k for food, going out etc2k for other stuff that comes up

You're still left with 20k a month.

Even if that's...

Re: Cost of living in Riyadh-KSA

When I lived in Riyadh I knew a lot of families who sent their kids to the Multinational School Riyadh. Still follows British curriculum I think because they do IGCSEs, and the costs were around half...

Re: Compound or Not?

There are pros and cons to both sides of compound living. Personally speaking, somewhere like EP, I'd be happy enough off compound. Try to connect with some BAE or Aramco people as an in to the area.

Re: Brexit Opportunities

Best thing about Brexit so far for me, the only tangible thing where I can say yes, this has been a good thing, is the increase in duty free allowance from 1 litre to 4 litres of hard liquor for...

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE

I haven't no. And your point is?

You think it's okay to pay the 4k. I don't. Agree to disagree I think.

Bottom line is, you're okay with it, so you're there.

Of course the benefits are...

Re: NEOM COMMUNITY UPDATE

Forcing people to pay 10k GBP a year to live in a camp in the desert takes the shine off things somewhat.
That's Saudis though. Always trying to do things on the cheap.

I would say the opposite. I've looked at jobs in Dohell in the past, and although the money was okay, living costs were loads higher.

Re: Philippines opens to foreign tourists 10th February.

They'd better hope they don't test positive on arrival in Thailand. Requirements there are worse than Phill. so seems strange place to go if that was an issue.
