For these reasons, why don't you consider Australia?
For me too NZ and Canada were the dream destinations, snowy mountain scenery etc but the real prospects are in Australia.

Nov/Dec is not a good time to look for a job as things slow down a lot due to Summer holidays and Christmas and it picks up again in February (this may vary depending on your profession)

In Australia it's quite common to go to an interview and then you don' hear from your employer again for a very long time, maybe never, even if you have practically been promised to start on the job...
