Forgot to say that to get sponsorship approval from the region we're applying (SA) it's taking up to 4 weeks for that. We've still got a few bits and pieces to pull together for that sponsorship app...

That's great comet555! I was doing a bit of research yesterday on the diac website and it says yes that you can add a newborn to the visa application as long as the visa has not yet been granted.

Thanks Suzy. I've contacted www.immigration.sa.gov.au and asked them their advice. I just don't want to do the wrong thing and muck it up in the process!!!

We were going to have OH as Principal applicant and were under the impression that only he need have his qualification assessed but then I read somewhere that the spouse (me) should have...

yeah that's what i thought australia bound. It maybe be best to wait until PR. just wondered if it was possible on a temp visa.

Hi Pollyana,

it would be a degree (full time) over 3 years. I guess if I was able to do it on the temp visa the course fees would be considerably more rather than being a permanent resident?

I will be the spouse (not the primary applicant) and was wondering if I'd be able to undertake a course of study during the temporary period before applying for permanent? Not sure what the rules are...

We already know that our skills are on the list for SA. So I guess the next thing is get the skills assessed and then apply for state sponsorship?...
