Re: ADNOC - process steps in recruitment

Yep, definitely worth negotiating the package. But try to justify this by providing your last pay slips etc which you can upload online in your careers portal. 10k per month increase is a tad...

Re: Housing mortgages for PR when working overseas

Not necessarily. Some mortgage lenders will let you continue with your existing 'live in' mortgage despite informing them that you'll be letting out the mortgaged property and you'll no longer be...

Re: ADNOC - process steps in recruitment

I never asked them why they took so long but I imagine they had a good enough reason and of course covid didn't help matters. Once i meet my line manager in Abu Scabby I'm sure I'll get the full...

Re: Visa question

1. If her existing employer is cancelling her QID then she will need to leave the country whilst her new employer applies for a new work visa. She will then come on this new visa and subsequently get...

Re: ADNOC - process steps in recruitment

Yep. I applied for the role through Star Services LLC agency in Jan 2020, had the Skype interview with ADNOC in Feb 2020 and despite repeated requests to the agency for interview feedback, never...

Re: Economical alternative routes from Dubai to Birmingham

You missed my point. I was responding to the previous poster's claim that being on the Red List had nothing to do with local infection rates. I provided evidence which refuted that claim.

Wrt...

Re: Economical alternative routes from Dubai to Birmingham

Sorry but that's utter rubbish. If it was to do with major aviation hubs then France would have been one of the first countries on the Red List considering Paris is a major connecting point for those...

Re: New job same bank account?

Nope, unlikely the former employer will inform the bank. Only the account holder can close the account unless there are special cases. But as I said earlier, once she’s got her new QID best to let...

Re: Economical alternative routes from Dubai to Birmingham

Google research wouldn't but data from World Health Organization would. Or are you saying you know better than the scientists at WHO?

Re: New job same bank account?

Will she be required to leave the country between switching employers? If so, the old employer *may* ask for a non-liability letter from the bank in which case the credit card debt will need to be...

Re: New job same bank account?

Won't be a problem for your other half to keep her account open. But once she gets her new QID, she should pay a quick visit to the nearest branch to get them to update the QID details.

Re: Economical alternative routes from Dubai to Birmingham

Those who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to quarantine in Qatar for 7 days. Perhaps the UK should follow suit?

Re: Economical alternative routes from Dubai to Birmingham

Hence why I said “very low risk”. Around 5% for those who have had both Pfizer jabs iirc.

Re: Getting a UK degree certificate at UAE Embassy London

I think the relatively low cost is down to the fact that my certificate already has the FCO seal (done in 2016) so all that is required is the UAE embassy stamp. I think if i had to go through the...
