Penang has direct flights to HKG, international schools and reasonably priced accommodation.

I don't know if still an issue, but I got advised to not to ship (or declare) books, other pritned matter, recordings and videos as that may cauuse delays.

There is nothing about X-ray in the form and we were not x-rayed.
Nor did the doctor draw any blood or other body fluids.
We jsut filled in our part with the rlevant tick-maks and the doctor did...

You need an examination to be done at any registered clinic, it is normally a very simple procedure, takes some 5 minutes and doesn't cost much.
No need to go to a hospital which will throw the full...

Income form overseas is not taxed in Malaysia.
I think Malaysia is a perfect base for living when working abroad (in other countries than Malaysia)

But - regarding liability for tax in ones home...

I am 74 and renewed lat year w/o problems. I don't think there is any upper age limit, why should there be??
Remember one has to pass a health exam.

Anyway, at first he asked me to provide proof of income, etc, but then it boiled down to me only...

Regarding FD, best to do it a branch in the city where you plan to live in Malaysia.
Regarding how to transfer, you would of course first need to open an account here and then transfer....

I used to have two passports due to frequent business travel and simultaneous visa applications.
Sometimes I used them alternatively which was good for visa runs :-).

And it would also not be a problem if payments are coming in from overseas, quite a few MM2H holders living here do consultancy work outside of Malaysia)

As the moderator pointed out, in most countries you are formally not allowed to work when you are there on a tourist or non-working visa.
I think it is an old fashioned law which doesn't...

I looked AIG up on the web and found that they allow for up to 85 years for single trips.
And such a trip can when applied for online, have an allowed duration of at least 120...

Yes, it is certainly a problem but in AXA conditions it says that one must be resident in the country from where the travel originates. And it seems that they for some reason do not accept...
