Re: Minor getting a tourist visa

Thanks for the response.

As I mentioned, the family is middleclass by Brazilian standards. Really, they don’t live too different a lifestyle than the average American family, but remember that...

All his family is in Brazil. I will be moving to Brazil to marry my fiancee and will remain there, so she will not be an immigrant. She will not be applying for a visa (and even if she did, she will...

Hi there. I don’t work in IT, but I know people who do (or did) and I follow the overall job market situation. Overall, I think it’s about the same as when you left – which means, things are...

Re: Backlog of Immigrant Paperwork Growing

And outsourcing American jobs? You constantly avoid this. To me, this is a much bigger threat to our jobs, economy and our national security (giving our secrets away to China and India, who are not...

Re: Backlog of Immigrant Paperwork Growing

That is 3.3 million jobs lost AND he is a strong proponent of outsourcing (supernav, what do you think of outsourcing?). Yes, I think Bush has to go...

Re: Vancouver or Calgary ?

Very true. And the most incredible thing about this is that most of CMA Calgary's growth has been within the city of Calgary, and not the suburbs. Heck, there aren't that many suburbs in Calgary...

Re: Vancouver or Calgary ?

Truer words have never been spoken. One of the many, many reasons I sped out of there after graduating.

Calgary always advancing, leaving Edmonton in the dust. I'm speaking as a former...

Re: Vancouver or Calgary ?

Calgary is a pretty open city as well. But then, being that you've never been there, you wouldn't know. Perhaps it's best if you stop rushing to judgments until experiencing something yourself....

Re: Vancouver or Calgary ?

LOL! Agreed.

All relative. Compared to Toronto, London, NYC or Sampa, Calgary is a very, very isolated place. Give me those places any day.

I lived in Edmonton for 14 years, but visited Calgary and Vancouver quite a bit and have some family in both cities.

As a place to visit, Vancouver definitely has more to offer from the natural...

Very true. I grew up in Alberta. But it still doesn’t negate the fact that Chretien was elected THREE times as Prime Minister (even though his party often got less than 40% of the vote). And...

Re: French Canadians insulted by Conan O'Brien

French Canadians are insulted by everyone. They would do the whole country a favor if they just packed up and left.

The reason Canadian politicians don't do anything is because most of the...

That's a pretty strong generalization there. Of course, it's perfectly OK to knock Americans, but when someone says a disparaging thing about Canada, it's sacrilege! That’s the most annoying thing...
