Re: Step children

Be grateful they are saying that, (he's as irresponsible as my ex by the sounds of it) it should make it easier for you in that case, use that evidence of theirs against him (don't waste your time...

Re: Step children

Not sure about the bitter and twisted part, he's gained more women and is pretty selfish so I am sure he's worked it out to his advantage, he didn't want son born, then avoided his responsibilities,...

Re: Step children

I didn't marry the idiot either, wasn't about to marry someone who had never been faithful all his life, finding out he had not one but two others on the go was bad enough to find out. My child was...

Re: Step children

I wouldn't fret if I were you.

Just take all the evidence you do have to Supreme court, you can see a duty councel for free 'drop in' (lawyers) another good thing about Canada. I did this and...

Re: Considering moving back to the UK!

That still doesn't warrant them to be better paid than nurses.

Re: Considering moving back to the UK!

Great feedback, I'll bear this in mind should the decision be my son wanting to study Uni back in the UK, as someone else said too, age 16 is the best age to return if that is the case.

Re: Considering moving back to the UK!

You mean the tube drivers that go on strike regularly to try and gain more pay?

Slight underestimation of what we nurses do, what an insult.

Tube train drivers aren't saving lives day in day...

Re: Driving and all that..

Insurance and quotes are not as we'd expect as per UK standards. Moller insurance who my broker was with when first got my car insurance last year with them, informed me having a smaller car does...

They need more doctors here, that's a common thing I've noticed and heard more and more.

I'm a nurse over here, we need more British doctors here believe me ;)

Re: house purchase

Agreed, much of that I knew already, capital gain is far better than lost money down the drain. I'd only ever get a house for me to live in this time round, not an investment. And for sure I'd...

Re: Considering moving back to the UK!

Can't add to that post for some reason, so adding it here. There is a catch to the course I did though, we are the lowest paid profession in the UK, which stinks, especially when a tube train driver...

Being dual citizen he can suit himself.
Thanks for the tip...

Re: Considering moving back to the UK!

Never used the term 'Chavs' myself. Heard others use it though. Dirtbag climbers I guess is another term similarly used over here (in the climbing world that I've heard) putting others less...

Re: Considering moving back to the UK!

I relate to that one, went back to UK for a few months and missed Canada, it is more child friendly here, more to do and less boring. My Dad stopped going to pubs as he got sick of the foul language...

I like how Scotland does it, hand shake and it's binding,...

Re: Am I making a HUGE mistake!?!?

You have your answer already, right here.
Take the job, if it doesn't work go there sooner, if so, even better you waited and got more experience, and got to do both, which also means no regrets for...
