Re: Civil Union recognised in Italy

There is also "convivenza di fatto" and I can only guess this is not dependent upon immigration status, aka Brexit.

Re: Brexit changes

Not necessarily a bad thing. I have to say I haven't met many foreign students on Erasmus here in Blighty, but when I was in Italy, many of my colleagues used to call foreign students on Erasmus...

If I am not wrong Sara is, or used to be, owned by ACI (Automobile Club d'Italia - Sito ufficiale (http://www.aci.it/)), or maybe the other way round.

Re: Cheap - or free, even - and reliable vpn.

Is it really Brexit fault? I can still (legally) stream TV programmes from the EU and I have a UK IP address. I think this is BBC fault that they have geo-restricted their streams.

I really don't...

Re: Brexit changes

Annetje don't be childish, it's not about calling people liars. You made a list of unsubstantiated claims. You didn't back them up. You have been told they have (mostly) nothing to do with Brexit....

Re: Sweden Denies Entry To UK Folk

Scot, I have liked some of your comments but this is an extremely stupid thing to say. And most expats did not vote for Brexit. I did, but that's just me.

Re: Brexit changes

Not all of these are true and not all of the above have to do with Brexit. If anything, we now have a simplified and unified way of dealing with foreign imports and we are mirroring what the EU does,...

When is that going to happen? I have no news that the UK will exit from SEPA. Or was this in the Brexit deal?

Re: Brand new WA attestazione from your comune.

The Italian ID card is a joke. It's just a piece of paper that can be faked with Photoshop. I have witnessed a Brazilian guy do that literally in front of me circa 2000-ish.

Re: Brexit changes

This has nothing to with Brexit. VAT on foreign imports will be charged at the point of sale and the EU has done the same since 1.1.21.

Re: The Comfort Zone. Favourite food, drinks, where to buy, and recipes.

Siena. What a throwback! I loved Siena but that was way back in the early 2000s. A bit too sedated for my taste, bad transport links and expensive-ish; otherwise a good expat destination.

Forgive the digression, but are the Coop still owned by the former Communist Party, whatever its name now? What about Conad, Esselunga? (Not sure if the latter are a coop or a private company)

Re: Brexit changes

It will probably take months before we will fully understand the implications of this deal. I must have read somewhere that the full text is around 2000 pages long!

Re: Post EU Referendum...Part II

Why do you think I'm a UKIP/Farage supporter? I just said that, back in 2016, the majority of voters wanted a clean break from the EU. The word "no deal" didn't even exist by then. Farage said back...
