Re: Where in France?

I have to disagree on that point. The Loire valley is probably the most expensive.

To the OP..

Why do you want to move to France ?

Please don't say 'French living' of 'French culture' or...

Re: What lottery win would you need ...

You said 'I'd probably look at a gite or B&B business in Dordogne (I know, it's a British cliche) but that part of France is just so spectacular and romantic'

You would...

You rent it out for 3000 euros per month.

Forget...

Re: Haute Savoie or Dordogne-retirement

You mean top 10 of the list.

I get it. The longer you live in France the more you get it. It is ideal if you think about it.

I agree about Grenoble. The smell gets me. Grenoble (I was once...

Re: Haute Savoie or Dordogne-retirement

Re: Truck driving France

It might work if you can afford yourself a LHD tractor unit and basically live in it. How it works in a 'tax' way is another matter.

A lot of companies (well they used to) ship their trailers...

One of your biggest problems is going to be getting parking for the station at St Pierre des Corps.

Be warned there is a waiting list.
