Re: Pension Options

Ok, point taken, but drill down on the purple (https://www.gov.uk/national-insurance-if-you-go-abroad) hyperlink, then it becomes less obvious...

Re: Pension Options

I would surmise that as you (and Piff Poff) are resident in non-EU/EEA countries, then that's what allows for the eligibility for the class 2 contributions?

As an EEA resident I could not get...

Re: Pension Options

Not sure if it's still available, but HMRC used to have (it was there several years ago) a "what if" calculator; create an HMRC account, give it your NI number and it will give an estimate of what...

Re: Coronavirus

The situation is worsening.

I read earlier of a "serious debate" as to whether a pastie would be considered a "substantial meal".

Re: Trivia Chit Chat

Aarrgghh! The "absolute stab" guess gene is still not functioning, and on top of that today I re-used the second guess and ... dong ... :(

Re: Goggle box- anything worth watching on TV?

Cheers for the heads-up.

I take your point about Babylon 5 and cheese, I'm having a bit of trouble getting into it, might even have to revisit SG-1. ;)

Lost in Space is going down quite well...

To echo a post upthread, it's hard to name just one.

Re: A Food thread

With some 'help' from BIL I caved and invested in a bread machine a few weeks ago, and so far I am pretty happy with it.

After a couple of slight recipe tweaks, I got to a 'near perfect' basic...

Re: 2020 Random Comment Thread

Snowy - as he is known in the Anglosphere - is Bobby in Flemish, and Milou in French. ;)

Re: Flu Shots (Moved from Coronovirus thread)

Cheers m'dear, it's all very local, so not really too much of a faff, except when it's raining cats and dogs.

Obviously this year it's one heck of a faff.

Re: Flu Shots (Moved from Coronovirus thread)

I've not had a flu shot for several years since stopping work, it used to be a freebie offered by my employer, was done on-site by the company doctor.

This year OH has been 'reminding me' for...

Re: Goggle box- anything worth watching on TV?

Re: Removal Firms?

I used those very same people when moving UK - from three disparate UK pickup locations - to Suisse Romande ;)

Brilliant service, lovely people, no fault in any way.

'Enabled' means Bluetooth paired? Dormant means a list of MAC addresses that tried to pair? If your mobile isn't 'discoverable' on Bluetooth .... ???

Which is...
