Mm2h is and always has been a temporary visa, albeit a long term temporary visa. But temporary is temporary. It is not permanent, though many MM2Hers choose to make it their permanent home. I did...

Sensible to take a look and spend some weeks in Malaysia see if you like or not.

If you get an annual travel insurance check the policy to see how coverage works. My one allows only trips up to 3 months long and start and end point must be my "home" country where the policy was...

No it doesn't matter and you can always do on your own as well, but the majority of folks I know in Penang, including me, have used Alter Domus. I would definitely recommend them. Big advantage of...

don't think you can apply for another tourist visa if you have already applied for another visa partner visa. Is one or t'other I believe.

We are not immgrants. We are tourists albeit long term tourists so not the same thing at all.
if it fell under Immigration might be another matter.
