Re: The Kitty Cat Thread

With or without cats, that looks idyllic.

And they are all outside cats, so no litter box either.

Re: CORONAVIRUS PART II

I believe it used to be the 5th most populated country in the world but Pakistan and Nigeria overtook it (Nigeria is on course to overtake the US in the next 30 years ).

Some of Brazil's...

Re: 2020 Random Comment Thread

My lawn is mostly clover, it gets cut, and the birds seem to like it. Warm dry days in the summer take care of the rest of what other weeds grow. I prefer to call them native plants, makes it sound...

Re: 2020 Random Comment Thread

I let the weeds do their thing. I leave them alone and they leave me alone. I do the bare minimum required to my grass not to get some jobsworth from public works giving us a ticket. I prefer my...

Re: What made you smile today? Part III

I get the idea behind certain things but I really can't relate to it. Every single part of my sister's wedding went without a hitch but she was driving herself nuts worrying about it the two days...

Re: 2020 Random Comment Thread

Depending on where they are, someone is likely coming to cut the grass and perhaps also treat it, in those center medians which makes it even sillier. They'd be better served using native...

Re: What made you smile today? Part III

After seeing my sister stress out over her wedding last year, I am glad we didn't have the money to be able to do more than we did to be quite honest :D

Re: 2020 Random Comment Thread

Nature doesn't hate it as such, grassland is a naturally occurring phenomenon. Around my way though, we've essentially introduced grassland into what would naturally be a prairie, so that tends to...

Re: 2020 Random Comment Thread

Oh god no.

It's bad enough we have to work already for five days but then someone had a great idea to ruin the only 48 hours we get to escape from feudalism every week.

Re: 2020 Random Comment Thread

Why even bother having it as something we have to maintain at our houses, thus ruining countless weekends and days off? Have nice public gardens and so something nice with natural stone and trees at...

Re: Is Lockdown Working For You

Wisconsin is less than a half hour drive up the road for me though, it is something I could check for him very easily. If I wanted to get sick, that is.

Re: Is Lockdown Working For You

Plus around here they freeze for months in the winter, the sea doesn't do that. I just want to be sat on a bench on the sea front in any Northern Irish coastal town right now with a chip butty and...

Re: 2020 Random Comment Thread

You'd think with all our knowledge of genetics we'd be able to hybridize a grass that won't grow more than 2", wouldn't you? The only good thing about short grass is it attracts birds to the garden...

Re: Is Lockdown Working For You

Lake Michigan is a great example because it's big enough that you can't see land on the other side, so your mind can be tricked into thinking it's the sea but you know it isn't because it doesn't...

Re: 2020 Random Comment Thread

Lawns are absolutely pointless (and an affront to nature) but for some reason Americans have such a fetish for them. You can't enjoy a nice morning without the sounds of people starting up lawnmowers...
