We have this too, but the CBA arranged for us to have an 'Advice of a Deposit' document sent to us each time it happens and on this document it states the fee, this way you can then use it for tax.

You need to be in the country to apply for a TFN, you can't provide a friend's address as they still know you are not here - we tried to apply for my daughter's before she arrived and it was declined...

As far as I am aware you won't pay tax twice as there is a double tax agreement with the UK. You will get a credit for the tax paid in the UK which will be put against the tax owing here and then you...

It seems to vary. My husband does the journey a few times a year and on some trips he has had to get off the plane, and then on others he stayed on. Not sure how they decide what is going to happen....

The $200 is on the top side, this week it came to $170. I set aside $800 per month on food so when we have a 5 week month I struggle with $160 a week but on the whole it is manageable.

We decided to only have a bath in the main bathroom, so that has a bath and a shower cubicle and then the ensuite has a larger shower instead. We were advised to have at least one bath in the house...
