Re: The Comfort Zone. Favourite food, drinks, where to buy, and recipes.

Re: Overland Italy to UK

We're planning to drive back to the UK through France next week. It looks as if there's no bar to doing so (provided we sign and carry the prescribed "attestation"); but it's not clear - to me at any...

Re: Move everything to Italy!

We too hired a 3.5 ton van with a luton and tail lift, and came an expensive cropper, not realising that the lift itself weighs so much that the van can easily become overweight. Of course we got...

Re: TALK THE TALK. ITALIAN LANGUAGE QUESTIONS.

Thanks Lorna.
Can I try another question? As I understand it, "mi faccio vivo" means something like "I'll let you know". So if I ask somebody to let me know e.g. when they're able to come, can I say...

Re: TALK THE TALK. ITALIAN LANGUAGE QUESTIONS.

If "I'm looking forward to x" is "non vedo l'ora di x" how does one say "I'm not looking forward to x"? Surely not "vedo l'ora..."?!!

Re: Brand new WA attestazione from your comune.

And I don't understand the reference to a request form. There is just the attestazione form attached to the Interior Ministry circular 3/2020 which the comune stamp and sign

Re: UniCredit Mobile banking - be warned

In my - admittedly limited -experience customer-facing staff in Italian organisations generally try to help and give advice: I think the problem is that there are lots of rules and procedures laid...

Re: No Worries

Many thanks for the heads up. It'd be really helpful if you could say a bit more about staying the night in Alsace: what did it feel like staying in a hotel. Apart from masks were there any extra...

Re: Any lockdown relaxation in your area ?

It's being reported that France will, until 24 July, put in quarantine for 14 days anyone entering the country. So impossible to drive to Italy in that case
