Re: Working to Residency

The WTR is essentially a skilled residence visa route that you are granted when you can't get a direct PR through skilled migrant applications. This is when you are not deemed to make a direct...

Re: We really like it here and want to stay, what are our options????

125 points with no job offer is reasonably good, particularly since you are from the UK. I would suggest that you lodge an EOI after having confirmed your work experiences as required and relevant...

Re: NZ government immigration website

It's not just the site, but the services of NZ Immigration itself appears to be quite terrible. Just recently they lost the entire application of some applicants I know who have been extremely...

Re: Time need for nzqa

The timeline on the site is not an accurate timeline. They say upto 35 working days and can take less IF the documents are all good and verifiable and FAR LONGER if not to 40-45 working days. Also...

Re: EOI and requirements for teachers in advance of lodgement

Normally, the EOI doesn't check anything. It just takes your word for it when you place it online. HOWEVER, they do a brief check after it is accepted to confirm some things manually.

Re: IT Contractor EOI work expereince question

This looks like a special case. Perhaps you should consult the NZ Immigration. NZ Immigration support is not that good, so you can consult an agent if you can afford it. It's perhaps the best option.

Re: 140 points reduced to 40

This seems highly implausible. It's difficult to buy this at all actually. How can the points just reduce to 40 or so. Perhaps you means points reduced BY 40 THAN TO 40. You get points for age,...

Re: EOI (SCM) Section G: Principal Applicant's Recognised Work Experience

That's very surprising. It's very UNLIKELY that that can happen. Consult the NZQA officer of yours and ask how this has happened. Your degree should at least span a period of 3 years and 6 semesters...

Re: Pic on Character / Police Certificate ?

Re: Qualification Assessment - Postgraduate Diploma

Re: Points Indicator: Level 3, 4, 5 & 6 Qualifications

No, your questions are not daft. Both Aus and NZ use the ANZSCO code now. The points are listed on the NZ Immigration site, www.immigration.govt.nz. So take a look and search for points. It should be...
