Re: Tell me about Adelaide

I don't live in Adelaide or have children but I have been there for a week or so at a time a number of times. I liked it. I think all the major cities Melbourne/Brisbane/Sydney/Perth/Adelaide are all...

Re: Have we really given it long enough ????

Unless you have hated it from the moment you stepped off the plane and haven't had a single good experience and it's just getting worse and worse and worse. I would say that 5 months is not long...

Re: Starting up my OZ life in Stafford- What is your opinion?

I've lived in 2 northern suburbs that are close to Stafford. I think it is a good suburb. Some bits are better than others, but all of the above are fair comments. There is a coffee place on Hayward...

Re: Possible to build up credit BEFORE arriving in Oz?

Yep, I'd agree with that. First job I had here fresh off the boat was $65k, opened bank account with credit card, $12k limit. Within a year of occasional use and paying it off every month they'd...

Re: aussie equivalent of money saving expert website

FFS, well obviously. I'm just trying to redress the balance a bit. It's getting a bit like Poms in oz around here. 10 negative posts to every positive one and then a reminder after a positive post...
