Re: The weather up north!

I heard the summers get hot. We'd have to make sure we had air -con in the house. It gets cold here a night still where we are on the Algarve, but the days are mostly beautiful.

Pay as You Go sim card

I have a Pay as you go sim card which is 10 euros per month. If I want to keep the same number I have to pay 20 euros. I don't want a contract just yet, has anyone got a better deal/solution? Thanks.

Re: Builders in Budens area

We will go to the camara, but we haven't found a plot we like yet. I suspect it's one of those things where one plot/area might be allowed a wooden buildling and another one might not.

Re: Builders in Budens area

I hope I'm not hijacking this thread, but has anyone any knowledge or experience of putting a wooden house on a plot. I mean a plot with a license for a huse on urban land, not on rustico.

Re: Builders in Budens area

That's good advice. I was chatting to an estate agent who said the same thing, some people hire an architect from Lisbon and it just doesn't work as the rules there are not the same as this area.
