Re: Best chance of moving to Canada despite EE freeze?

Hi, thanks for your reply.

So we have an application for EE/PR pending, we applied February '21, with all of the documents and our biometric appointment, and have heard nothing since. If we were...

Re: Best chance of moving to Canada despite EE freeze?

Hi!

I hope you don't mind me jumping in! We have been waiting on our EE PR application now for over a year with no sign of update. Is IEC a possibility for us? Would it impede our ongoing...

Due to the seemingly endless uninformed wait we are experiencing for our FSW PR application, I have been looking into any alternative routes which might move us quicker. We really have our heart set...

Re: EE FSW Qs

We applied for EE FSW with a CRS score (I think!) was 482 in December 2020, I think the cut off at that time was 468, so scored have been low enough for your total.
Though we had our invite and...

Re: EE processing

Thanks for your reply- it's good to hear that the alternative worked out for you! The study option is an interesting thought, as both myself and husband work in scientific fields which would...

Re: EE processing

Should we start to look at other entry routes eg. study permit, TWP, PNP? Are any of these moving any quicker? If we were to go down an alternate route, would we sacrifice the investment already into...

EE processing

So it's been a year since we sent off our EE FWS application- and short of completing our biometrics in April, we've heard nothing. I know Covid has slowed things down, but with the expected...

Re: Recommendations for FSW EE Application

I don't think I can help with your queries here, but it sounds like your situation is quite similar to ours- we are hopefully heading to Alberta as my husband in in oil. I think we have have been on...

Re: Any updates from IRCC re PR Applications?

That's good news, I'm excited to hear! Where is the update about not processing FSWs? When I look on the website, it still says 6 months for our application processing time. How many different types...

Re: Delayed processing

Yeah it's a bit depressing that they won't restart until into 2022, but at least I can give up hoping I might hear something any day
Do you know where they were up to with FSW before they...

Re: Delayed processing

Does anyone have any idea how many CEC applications there typically are to process? I saw they are completing applications from Feb/March, will they just keep focusing on them until they are caught...

Re: Delayed processing

It was just FSW. The processing page still has a 6 month estimate on it, but obviously since we are way past that, I'm guessing it'll be 6 months once they actually start processing?

Re: Delayed processing

We applied through express entry. If we need to redo medicals, when should we aim to book these for?

Delayed processing

I am sure there are many people in the same boat as us who just aren't moving forward due to Covid related processing delays, but does anyone know what the knock-on impact of this will be? We...

Re: Shipping options

Thanks- I'll look more closely into air freight, that sounds like the most reasonable option for the quantity of things we want to bring.

Re: Shipping options

Thank you both for this view- this is something we have considered, especially since our house in Canada will likely have more rooms to fill than we currently have furniture for, so it'll involve...

Thanks for the info, I'll check out the link :)
How much stuff roughly did you take- was it a house full, furniture, vehicles, tools, etc.? How many people are you moving?

I would love to hear any recommendations or anecdotal experiences of shipping belongings- we are heading from Staffordshire to Calgary, just two adults and a dog. We are limiting what we take with us...

Re: Checking on PR Card

Ah, maybe this is where I have been getting mixed up. We applied for PR, but I have found no way to check up other than 'PR card', so I assumed this was the same thing.
We understand it's a long...

Re: Soft landing

Ah, that makes sense. We've applied for PR, through EE. My husband is lead applicant, and just me accompanying. The original estimate when we submitted calculated to the end of August, but as you...
