But the joke was that Genesis wouldn't complain about anything. The joke was never about his family or pants.

Yes. But that means that Maori/Pacific Islander fights get in the newspapers whilst the 'pakeha' go under-reported.

Yes, I know how you feel. I used to be a grave robber before I moved to New Zealand and was always horrified to discover just how smelly and icky the bodies were when I finished digging them up....
