I'm moving back to Bristol mid April after being away in Malaysia for 2 years.

We are renting our house out to great tenants so don't want to move back there. I've looked at 3 bed houses to rent...

Crumpets, Special K with red berries, Bisto gravy, Milky Bars, jacket potatoes, parsnips - mostly food!

Also was nice to go for a long walk and not be soaked in sweat after 10 minutes.

I've just got back from a big shop in Cold Storage in Gurney Plaza. Just got the last few bits and bobs for Christmas. Bit of a breeze in the air this morning so was a lovely walk down.

I do lots of downloading and it's very quick for that. I have the IPTV with Astro (broadband is via Time) which is a billion times better than what we used to have with Telecom.

I send cards to immediate family and some friends but I order mine online to go direct to the recipient.

There are 2 quite good websites that I use and they normally arrive the following day.

Hubby & I are going to Shangri-La in Penang this year. Heard lots of good reviews so should be fun.

We're going for lunch which includes free flow wine & beer. Very reasonable price I thought.

Gurney hawker stalls are ok, you can get cans of beer from various stalls. Towards the far end (near McDonalds) you can get a good Char Kuey Teow and the satays are pretty good too.

We have just upgraded our Astro package to the IPTV and our Broadband has never been so fast.

We previously were using Telecom who were completely useless and cut us off twice for no reason!

Just before Christmas, Pickfords delivered all my stuff I had in storage (we are staying here longer than we first thought) and the shipment included lots of DVD's which I was not charged extra for....

There are a few Subways dotted around, Roadhouse Grill opposite Gurney Beach Resort have lots of choice from burgers to steak to pasta - all non-spicy.

Also Song River on Gurney Drive do fabulous...

Not quite the same as we get back home - no fat on it to give it added flavour - but it's still very good.

Ha! Can't do without our roast!! I make one every other week and have even found proper Bisto gravy in Carrefour in 1st Avenue - only place I've found that sells it!
