Thats illegal, it should be a min of 500mm from the bottom of the power point to the edge of the sink, you can report this to energy safe of the state your living in

well said the trades down under are indication that they can provide training that's accepted in Australia that's NOT the case at all.Any training for trades must be completed in Australia...

Regarding your current qualifications, it makes NO difference what quals you have obtained in the UK, once your here you must do the state electrical exams at a RTO most Tafe's (Colleges) do a top up...
