Partners in Penang group seems to be showing a few postings saying the same as you. I just checked Government site. Nothing on there.

Re: Retiring in Malaysia - Malaysia My Second Home Visa (MM2H)

Re: Retiring in Malaysia - Malaysia My Second Home Visa (MM2H)

I know what you are saying but it's somewhat ambiguous . From a tax point of view we can be tax resident** but fact is it is very clear on the visa stamp that it is a Visit Pass therefore we are...

Re: Looking for some Penang Advice - should be there is July!

I see a lot of folks renting at quayside. You would do well to post on fb group Partners in Penang. You will find many residents of quayside on there. In case you don' get reply here.

Also check out some of the Facebook groups. There are many...

Re: Retiring in Malaysia - Malaysia My Second Home Visa (MM2H)

Disappointing that they do it retrospective but not the only government to do this. Acts as a reminder that MM2Hers are just temporary visa holders.

If you havent found it, there's a sub section with this Malaysia section, Retirement and MM2H. You'll find many posts about MM2H including some recent ones on Sarawak MM2H.
