Re: Prince Andrew

I think the fact that Virginia Roberts/Guiffre is still alive to tell her story is all the proof you need that Andrew is as thick as mince and can't see beyond the end of his nose/other appendage. If...

Re: Tories in chaos

Boris Johnson on "partygate" - "I humbly apologise and I take full responsibility if any rules were broken..."

Also, Boris Johnson today on "partygate" - "But nobody told me it was against the...

Re: Prince Andrew

I, for one, am absolutely delighted that this arrogant, pompous, entitled, corrupt piece of shit is having to finally face up to the consequences of his actions. The Queen is his sole ally in this...

Re: Tories in chaos

Parties inside No.10 Downing Street with dancing and booze until the early hours, on the eve of Philip's funeral, who the Queen mourned alone? Surely even this won't be excused by the Tory devout.

Re: Tories in chaos

I'm concerned at the weight that is being given to Sue Gray's "inquiry". Remember, she works for Boris Johnson. This is not an independent report, it is a report to be presented to Boris Johnson, who...

Re: Goggle box- anything worth watching on TV?

Self-isolating on Hogmanay - even from my wife - so sitting in my office watching documentaries. Just watched 2 absolutely outstanding ones on BBC (Four) iPlayer... first was "Brotherhood: The Inner...

Re: Coronavirus

Just tested positive myself. Very minor symptoms - fatigue, minor cough - certainly nothing I'd have taken so much as a day off work for in any other circumstance. However, rules be rules and I'm...

Re: Coronavirus

I think the obesity correlation is very, very significant. Look at the US deaths for further corroboration of that.

Re: Coronavirus

Well the timing of that was spot on... professional idiot Dominic Raab gets the numbers wrong twice as he admits there are just TEN people in hospital in the UK with Omicron.

The vaccination...

Re: Coronavirus

The trouble is that Boris Johnson places his personal popularity as an additional factor in his decision making. If he hadn't relaxed mask-wearing, and promised that relaxations would be irrevocable,...

Re: Coronavirus

Please don't refer to "UK" measures. Health is a devolved matter and Boris Johnson is only talking about measures in England. In fact, he is simply reintroducing measures in England which are already...

Re: 2020 - movies seen this year

I presume you're happy enough for Bond films to be set in the current times, see him playing with modern gadgets and so on. Do you think a modern-day James Bond would or should still have 1953...

Re: Liverpool bomb

Was it really a terrorist attack? Terrorists normally have aims and goals. I think this is more likely just a damaged and disaffected man who flipped. His apparent conversion from Islam to...

My dad is actually in that film!! (A Bridge Too Far). He was attached to 1 Para at the time as a parachute instructor, and 1 Para were the actual paratroopers used in the film.
