Have you tried to obtain a loan from your home country bank? I had a French friend purchase a condo with a mortgage vis a French bank. Seemed odd. Perhaps he used assets in France as the collateral?

Being Sarawakian you could likely find a sponsor (relative) for the Sarawak MM2H quite easily. You cannot work in Malaysia on that visa, however. One can still apply for SMM2H as both the SMM2H...
