Re: The Kitty Cat Thread

I've said it once, I'll say it again.

Humanity is a stain on this planet. if we disappeared and Earth was left to just get on with it, it really would be a paradise.

Re: K1 Visa Timeline

Personally I think that a conservative estimate now would be more like 18-24 months. There are many thousands of applicants ahead of you.

Re: The Kitty Cat Thread

He is a beautiful boy and kudos to LL!

Many many people would have had him put to sleep, but now he has a new lease of life and is clearly loving it

Re: AOS for F2A

Likely to have been asked if he has family in the US though. Anyway, this is really all speculation. OP appears to have a path to adjust, but probably should seeking a consultation to avoid those...

Re: AOS for F2A

One wonders if you informed the officer that you had parents that were soon to arrive in the US as PRs.

Re: Covid-19 Vaccination -- Have You Gotten It?

No. I receive a chest XRay each year to check that I do not have TB, because testing does not render anything other than a positive due to previous vaccination.

Re: AOS for F2A

Indeed. Even if the OP may have a path, one questions the veracity of the story. USCIS might too.

In this case I agree. One of those mines could easily blow up in your face.

Re: Covid-19 Vaccination -- Have You Gotten It?

Having been given the TB vaccine as a kid in the UK, my employer (healthcare provider) who is mandated to test for TB every year as part of CMS guidelines instead gives me a chest XRay since the test...

Re: Not Happy with....

Now that you have a US PP, you don't really need it anyway as long as you don't a) lose the passport and b) keep it renewed.

Re: The Kitty Cat Thread

Aww :(

It sounds to me like Peuga has gotten used to having a friend, and you are pretty much committed now to finding a permeant partner in crime for him/her

Wife is currently waiting on hers since 3/3. We used the Post Office service though since this is her first passport (at 44 - yes you read that right)

What is your projected timeframe for starting this job? You know you have to have an EAD in hand, that cannot be applied for before you arrive, and that that is currently taking several months to be...

Re: President Biden

I still don't get the purpose of 'The Wall' anyway when a large percentage of attempted immigrants are actually visa overstays that arrived at ports and were legally admitted.

Re: L1 Visa (one man business owner)

Seems that you have a couple of barriers here - why move to the US when you've done business here already and haven't lived here? Is this anything other than a subsistence business? Will you be...

Re: Covid-19 Vaccination -- Have You Gotten It?

Tiny isn't it :D

The town itself is tiny. but the greater Royston-Carnesville-Hartwell area is actually pretty populated. Lake Hartwell is a big draw.

Re: Covid-19 Vaccination -- Have You Gotten It?

Sure is. We have a cruise booked for August (hoping that it goes ahead, fingers crossed) and I am pretty sure that they are going to be mandatory to board.

Re: Travelling on ESTA

There is no 'should have' in this situation. Where one attempts to request a VWP entry, they waive their rights to any appeals, and they are totally at the officers discretion.

Re: Notice from Google - DHS

What possible reason would they have to be looking at your broadband service? Background checks are typically FBI files etc, not what you've been looking at on the internet.
