Re: use old information on ds i60 form i submitted 4 year ago

Hey eddy,

The DS-160 isn't a visa. It's just the name of the online application form. You need to specify which visa it is that you're applying for.

Re: Welsh & moving to NYC in Jan 2020 - advice?

Hey, I moved from London to NYC a couple of years ago.

$55k is poverty level in NYC, especially if you want to live in Manhattan, which probably isn't feasible on 55 anyway.

As a general rule...

Re: I 94 departure doesn't show

He/she possibly means they’ve flown back to the U.K.

They flew into Miami. But they flew out of Boston.

Re: L1/L2 VISA Question

She can seek an Adjustment of Status from L-1 to L-2 whilst remaining in the US. I believe this takes around 7 months.

Alternatively she can leave the US and apply for an L-2 at the appropriate...

Re: E2 Visa Passport Stamp Query: Expiry Date Longer than I thought they could a

You misunderstand. I wasn't talking about the visa expiry date. I was talking about the status expiry date.

Re: L1-B Blanket application

I would echo that. When I was at Belfast earlier this year the card machines had broken completely.

I was directed to a BP garage, 20mins walk away to withdraw about £500 from the cash machine...

Re: E2 Visa Passport Stamp Query: Expiry Date Longer than I thought they could a

On my last visa, CB&P were frequently stamping my passport and entering an expiry date after my status was due to expire.

I just ignored it and always deferred to the expiry date of my status.

Re: Blanket L1-B interview in a few weeks

Hey,

I had my blanket L-1B interview recently under similarish conditions. So happy to give my perspective.

I was also told by the lawyers that L-1Bs had come under particular scrutiny in...

Re: Moving To US from UK with 14 year old

Oh I see.

Well I’d ask them in the interview which visa they propose. Frankly, I’d consider it something of a red flag if they have not already consulted with an immigration lawyer as to the...

Re: Moving To US from UK with 14 year old

Re: Moving To US from UK with 14 year old

Unfortunately I don't think it's a case of maybe being right.

The H-1B deadline for this year closed in April. Unless it's a cap exempt institution, i.e. a non-profit or educational, working on an...

Re: EAD Evidence & filing

Yeh you need to send print outs.

They don't need to be authenticated. Just scan the documents and then print out the scans and include them in the envelope with the form.

Re: EAD Evidence & filing

The form gives you a list of documents that you're required to submit. You should send everything it asks for.

I believe that is;

A scan of your passport
Your i-94
A scan of your spouses...

Re: Documents and process for first entry on visa

1. In my experience the airport signage will tell you which queue to join. If you're flying into JFK with BA you'll land at terminal 7 and from memory they seperate you into 2 queues. One is for US...

Re: L1 & L2 visa timeline help

I think 4-10 months for the EAD sounds pessimistic.

if you apply for an L-2 EAD in NYC you’re application will be routed to the Vermont Service Centre.

USCIS is currently quoting 1.5 months - 5...

Re: Worried and feeling uncertain about moving to US? How did you deal with thes

The way I saw it, even if we hated the move and ultimately returned to the UK, i would still have preferred that than not going at all.

So it was an easy decision from that perspective, I felt...

Re: L1A Visa's Approved!

This was the case with my wife's L-1A, applied for in London.

With my L-1B, applied for in Belfast, I was given the I-129s (it was signed, not "stamped") when I left the interview.

Re: L-2 Documents Required London

Visa approved.

Can confirm they asked to see a copy of my L-1B visa stamp and literally nothing else.

Didn't even ask to see the marriage certificate!

Currently she has submitted...
