Re: What has p*ssed you off today...part II

Re: What has p*ssed you off today...part II

(And...

Re: Potentially really stupid questions: Holidaying back in the UK

Ha! I'll be the fat, tired bird looking hassled with the other half who will be incredibly well rested after 23 hours of sleep on the plane (I can't sleep on a plane, have absolutely no idea how he...

Re: Potentially really stupid questions: Holidaying back in the UK

We're flying into Heathrow, so I'll chuck my UK passport in with the other docs and then we're covered either way

Thank you all :)

Re: Bye Bye Decent Shopping - Amazon to block Australian customers

I had an email from Amazon.co.uk yesterday - we'll still be able to access the UK site and send items to addresses within the UK, so it's all good :)

Re: Potentially really stupid questions: Holidaying back in the UK

It'll be grand! Feels like so long since I've seen my dad, can't wait for a big hug.
Not that he does hugs, but he won't get any say in the matter!

Potentially really stupid questions: Holidaying back in the UK

So please don't judge - last time we went back to the UK we weren't Australian citizens and didn't possess a smartphone!
Off to the UK next week. We're Australian citizens, so obviously we need to...

Re: What has p*ssed you off today...part II

Oh yes. We have two (sensible) options for which way round the country we go, so we make sure we get her out of the way as quickly as possible.

Re: What has p*ssed you off today...part II

I'll be more excited when we get the visit to Mr Dreamy's mother (a cross between Pauline Hanson and Nigel Farage) out of the way :D

Re: What has p*ssed you off today...part II

I don't think its cost us that much for our entire journey! The joys of being able to book 12 weeks in advance when the cheap tickets get released :D

Re: What has p*ssed you off today...part II

They're all booked, quiet carriage where available, only one journey that is relying on a connection (well, two, if you count our first one from Heathrow to Folkestone) and we've allowed shedloads of...

Re: WTF rest of the world.

I think it would probably be the Temporary Activity visa (subclass 408) (https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/visa-1/408-) as presumably he's being invited by One Nation rather than Pauline Hanson...

Re: Bye Bye Decent Shopping - Amazon to block Australian customers

I've got my fingers crossed that it'll be more like the Marks & Spencer site, where, so long as you promise faithfully that you're just sending it to a UK address, they let you access the good stuff.

Re: What made you smile today? Part III

Aw what a lovely photo!

My three all refused to go to prom. They also refuse to have their photos taken, except for one that I made them do on New Year's Day this year, it's possibly the only...

Re: Will it ever happen?

Pretty much this.
We've been here over 10 years. Neither of us had particularly strong family ties, and they all lived in other parts of the country to us. Neither of us have felt particularly...
