Re: The Kitty Cat Thread

Increasingly so here (Oz - for two more days!) too. Which is giving sadists license to steal, torture, kill or maim, pets.

Re: The Kitty Cat Thread

Wow I am sure there is a need for it. Good incentive to start one - sure MP can offer some words of wisdom.

One of my many (and alternative) dreams is to go back to a farm, or a small holding,...

Re: The Kitty Cat Thread

I miss my cats (I'll see them on Monday!) but not their litter tray. Or the 3am howling.

Re: Don’t believe I did that

Greggs is an institution. I'd never eat anything from there but it does make me smile to see they're now at every other service station on the M1.

Fish, chips and mushy peas, eaten out of paper...

Re: Overwhelmed and just want to go home

I'm going to be in a similar position in the US - I'm entitled to work but my paperwork can take that long. I'm planning to enjoy getting to know my new home and to try to find some voluntary work to...

Can't help with a lot of this apart from to remind you to please BREATHE occasionally, but:

Re: Overwhelmed about AU to UK move

Can't help with anything else - though am in the middle of a move to my fourth continent - but wanted to give another vote for Dogtainers. They've just moved our cats from Sydney to Seattle and it...

Re: Tax deductions in Australia

One thing to make sure you're clear on (and hopefully have done so by this late stage) is whether the salary you have agreed is before or inclusive of Superannuation. Some employers try to make their...

Re: Oldies on holiday in Thailand

Oh no, never lived there, but it was an easy hop from Singapore for long weekends in the city and weeks at the beach. Mr K also spent a lot of time in BKK, especially once his old company shut down...

Re: Oldies on holiday in Thailand

Glad to hear you're having a good time, SoS! We never made it to Hua Hin but I have heard only good things about it.

Terrible to read about the fire at Chatuchak Market.

Re: Washington State

I'll be there on 17 June. Living Downtown Seattle.

I would look for a Facebook group with a relevant title. (I know there is one for Aussies in Seattle - I'm a dual citizen and moving from Oz so...

Re: The Kitty Cat Thread

Oh I hear you. Han died on 29 March, Bo and Fu moved to Seattle last Friday and I'm still putting things "out of the cats' way".

Sorry to hear this, caretaker. Sleep well, Nancy Boy.

Re: Me and My Family

I have many, many opinions on P11's life and there's no fool like an old fool, but plenty of people are voicing that so I won't bother. It does piss me off however that some of you seem to think it's...

Re: Anyone in, near, or once passed through Seattle?
