What about Boxing day as that falls on a Saturday this year - that link you provided for NSW moves the public hol to the Monday for next year but not this year :(

IMO it is better on the bigger items to get things that will last and thus are more neutral.
Instead spend money on decoration, so when your child grows out of fairies the room can be updated...

mmm mangoes. New tradition we have started is a tray of mangoes over Xmas.

old tradition (in UK) was port, but that is not the same in hot Xmas weather.

Fruit & Veggie are a lot more seasonnal...

I will back this up - plus if you rely on public transport it is a different bus company east of the Pacfic Hwy of the (Mona Vale Rd) & to the west (Ryde Rd) resulting in changing at Gordon Station...
