Re: Office etiquette in Canada particularly Vancouver

Well yes, Townies are from inside the overpass, Baymen (& women) are from outside the overpass. That's the classic definition but urban sprawl has overtaken the overpass in question so really its...

Re: The Brexit 50p Oxford Comma Dilemma

I shall be in Blighty for the great Brexit. As I was for dead in a ditch back in October. I expect either rioting on the streets or jubilation depending upon your point of view. I suspect I'll be...

Re: Celebrity Croakers 2020

I'm of an accord with you in all that. Although it's difficult to imagine Just a Minute without Nicholas Parsons, I do hope it goes on. ISIHAC / Just a Minute / News Quiz are all favourites of mine.

Re: Goggle box- anything worth watching on TV?

I got about three episodes in and quit. It's gorgeously filmed but I struggled with the plot. I may give it another go sometime.

On a different note, I did very much enjoy "James May our man in...

Re: Buying a car in Canada

This can't be restated often enough for newcomers. (& is not unique to BC). When you buy a second hand car (or minivan/truck/boat/atv/snowmobile etc) you pay tax on it. Everytime a vehicle is sold,...

Re: Winter 2019/20 It's here

We've apparently had 1/3rd of our annual snowfall in the couple of weeks since 23rd Dec. It's certainly been rather snowy - first time in 15 years I've had to snow clear on Christmas Day itself....
