Here the DHL and LBC price is just about the same, the only advantage LBC has is that they are located in the shopping malls where as DHL in a road in the middle of town.

Sent mine off last year 18th November and got it delivered to the house on 24th Jan which considering there was 6 days to get to Manila on the way out, Xmas hols in there and the package sat in Cebu...

Another way is to acquire a top up credit card in the UK and it can be used just about anywhere as long as you have the funds in it. We used to get them for our Filipino seamen, who sent them home...
