Re: Mortgage affordability - advice please

If your joint income is only 90,000 then you will likely have a very hard time getting a mortgage for 550K, especially if your income fluctuates, which may indicate self employment? That would then...

Re: Rules about having Alberta driving licence / MELT training

Re: Where in the world to go...

If you can't make social connections in Bristol, which is surprising, then you should try a larger city or Metro area (multiple cities close), if you still can't then moving country isn't going to...

Re: Importing cars to Canada

As said, the 15 year old rule is the main one, it avoids compliance with regular vehicle import and sale rules. A sad thing in North America is most diesel cars couldn't be imported due to...

Re: License Conversion

Ontario is the only province that already had requirements on mandatory training before issuing a commercial license so Humboldt likely won't affect the process there. As said, you have to retake...

Re: Medical

When I applied for PR I did an upfront medical hoping to save time because waiting periods in Manitoba at that point were often 3 months for medicals (only 3 doctors did them), so I found a slot and...

Re: Transferwise

Transferwise is regulated in the UK by the FCA so it's entirely legit and your money is protected, never use a service that isn't regulated unless you like to gamble. I was still hesitant to use it...
